1. Enrolment

Enrolment in any course is confirmed once we receive your completed registration and the applicable fee. Course placement is based on a short level assessment during your consultation; we reserve the right to recommend a different level or format if it better suits your goals.

2. Fees & payment

Course fees are payable in advance unless a payment plan has been agreed in writing. Prices shown on this website are in Hong Kong dollars and exclude the one-time registration fee. We reserve the right to adjust pricing for future terms; confirmed bookings keep the price quoted at the time of enrolment.

3. Cancellations & refunds

You may cancel an upcoming course up to 7 days before the start date for a full refund, minus the registration fee. Cancellations within 7 days of the start date are eligible for a 50% refund or a credit toward a future course. No refunds are issued once a course has begun, except where required by law.

4. Attendance & make-up classes

Group class spaces are reserved per student and are non-transferable. If you miss a session, you may request one make-up class per term, subject to availability. Persistent absence without notice may result in your place being reassigned.

5. Code of conduct

We expect respectful behaviour toward teachers and fellow students at all times. Institute of Languages reserves the right to suspend or end a student's enrolment, without refund, in cases of harassment, abuse, or repeated disruption of classes.

6. Use of this website

You may browse this website and use the consultation form for personal, non-commercial enquiries. You agree not to misuse the site — including attempting to access it through automated means, interfering with its operation, or submitting false information through our forms.

7. Intellectual property

All course materials, branding, and content on this website are the property of Institute of Languages or its licensors and may not be reproduced or redistributed without written permission.

8. Limitation of liability

Institute of Languages provides language instruction on a best-effort basis and does not guarantee specific exam results or proficiency outcomes, as these depend on individual study and attendance. To the extent permitted by Hong Kong law, our liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the fees you paid for the course in question.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.

10. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
